Photography is a passion that I have had for nearly 20 years. As an avid hiker and backpacker, I have had opportunities to photograph nature at it’s best.  

I’ve discovered the excitement of capturing my subjects from a variety of perspectives, whether it’s individuals, wildlife, my pets or elements of landscape.   I know that I’ve taken a successful image when I can look back at it years later and the vivid emotions and memories of that day rush back.

Photography is an art form that enriches my life, fitting in perfectly with my existing teaching career.  Through the support of my loving husband, I invested in the tools needed to succeed in this endeavor.

Last spring, I began by taking a refresher course before interning with a professional photographer located in El Dorado Hills, California. 

Beginning the latter half of 2007, I assisted with many weddings and family portraits.  My continued experience has proven to be invaluable, preparing me to venture out on my own.
